Mark was co-founder and Managing Director of ICON Software, an international software company whose main activity was the design, supply and support of ticketing systems around the world. After selling the company in 1999, Mark set-up an international technology and media consulting group, and in 2002, founded E3 Property. Mark graduated from Imperial College, London with a BSc in Physics and a MSc in Computing Science.
Mark is also a co-founder in E3 Partners, a fund-raising and investment company and E3 Sports, a football agency, both based in London.
With over 12 years of design development experience, Inchbald-educated Jarod Smith leads the creative DNA of the company, capturing the essence and heart of any project’s narrative.
A curious world traveller, Jarod picks up new ideas and innovative combinations of materials wherever he goes. Always re-thinking and re-imagining the everyday, his acute eye for making the ordinary extraordinary is the key to his success.
Andrew has worked across the spectrum of the hospitality industry, from managing five star hotels and London private members clubs, to providing consultancy to leading tourism groups in Portugal. He has also been a key player in the development of two major resort and residential communities in Portugal.
Andrew also has his own consultancy business, ILM in Lisbon, which focuses on providing independent advisory, development, marketing and sales services to hospitality real estate owners, investors, developers, funders and administrators.
Scarlett has worked in Client Services and Marketing since she moved to the UK 25 years ago, delivering marketing and business solutions that bring the company’s projects to life.
Multi-national and multi-lingual, Scarlett comes from a family of artists and writers, and has lived in Paris, Grasse, Barcelona and in the USA. She received her BA in English and Creative Writing from Sweet Briar College in the USA and her MA in English Literature from King’s College, London.
She lives in London with her family and commutes regularly to the Algarve and to her family home in West Cork, Ireland.
Carlos Olavo Mesquita da Silva

Carlos has a great wealth of experience in the Portuguese construction and industrial industries. He attended the prestigious IST (Instituto Superior Técnico) in Lisbon graduating with a speciality in English Machines. His resume reads like a history of industrial workmanship across Portugal, including works on electric cars to petrol station construction and commercial areas and shopping centres. In 2005 Carlos founded Tecnisan, a construction company with a focus on civil works and developments.
He partnered with Mark Lenherr on the Keys project as the project’s construction partner.
Tecnisan is a family affair, with both of Carlos’ two children working closely with him on all his projects.
Canadian architect Béatrice Hajjar Lemaitre has a Masters Degree in Urban Design from the University of Montréal, Canada. Prior to coming to Portugal in 1998, she worked with the City of Montreal as an architect in charge of social housing development within a revitalized sector of the city. She has since worked on various housing and public buildings concepts, including projects with high profile architects D’Arquitectos in Vilamoura and Luisa Pacheco Marques in Lisbon.
Brian has a BA (Hons) in Economics, Accounting and Financial Management, and he is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He has over 35 years of experience in accounts and accounting consultancy having previously been with Thorn EMI cinemas, Toshiba International, SIA and WEFA.
